Look Out Music World!
Things are looking up in the World of Music for Saint Lucian Artistes. To match the continued and new interest in our music TEPA has launched a Music Website, the island’s first ever online marketing platform for Saint Lucian Music. This TEPA initiative is an important result coming out of recommendations from TEPA’s recently completed Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) Market Access Consultancy, aimed at enhancing Saint Lucia’s trading environment and export capabilities.
In August 2016, we received financing to undertake a Market Access Consultancy to three European countries, a grant facilitated by the Caribbean Development Bank. The goal of this project was to explore opportunities for our exporters in
Europe. Based on recommendations coming out of this consultancy, one of the major deliverables was the creation of the Music Saint Lucia website. TEPA in consultation with the Saint Lucia Coalition of Services Industries and the Saint Lucia Manufacturers Association has made this a reality.
We currently have three musicians on the website who were all part of the original group assessed for the European Market. Going forward we would like to paint this musical masterpiece with the strokes of all the players in the Saint Lucian Music industry.
