ExpoZING

Unless you’ve been hibernating or completely taken your eyes and ears off all media—traditional and social (although social media has now become traditional)—you will no doubt by now have heard of EXPOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

That’s right! After numerous calls to repeat or replicate EXPO 2012 (Presented by TEPA; then OPSR) from the business community and consumers, the Trade Export Promotion Agency (TEPA) is excited to host Specialty Caribbean EXPO 2017. As the name suggests, this EXPO will not only showcase Saint Lucian goods and services but will feature exhibitors from the OECS and Martinique. Presented in association with the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Specialty Caribbean Expo is expected to run every two to three years, hosted by different OECS member states.

This year’s first ever staging of Specialty Caribbean Expo will be held in Saint Lucia at the Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium, under the patronage of the Government of Saint Lucia.

Themed “A Unique Buying Experience”, this buyer-centric event aims to increase OECS exports by affording member-state exhibitors the opportunity to be seen by and network directly with buyers from the UK, US, Cuba, Martinique and the wider Caribbean. Over 30 buyers from renowned international conglomerates are expected at Specialty Caribbean Expo.

To further celebrate and showcase the innovation and creativity of OECS businesses, entrepreneurs and artisans, TEPA launches ExpoZing—a video series mini campaign which will feature several Specialty Caribbean Expo exhibitors. Airing on Calabash TV and NTN, ExpoZing will highlight exhibitors’ stories; delving into their backgrounds and showcasing them in their habitats as we take an intimate look into what they do, what makes them unique and what makes them the best. ExpoZing will highlight the faces behind our renowned Caribbean products and services and serve as a platform to further increase exhibitor reach.

Look out for the ExpoZING series coming soon to Calabash and NTN TV!
