The Trade Export Promotion Agency (TEPA) in partnership with the Caribbean Export Development Agency (CEDA) concluded the second of three modules of the PRONET Training Programme for owners and managers of medium and Small Enterprises (MSEs). The module: Cost and Financial Management was delivered during the period October 14th– 16th, 2014 at the conference room of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport, Union Castries.

The training was aimed at providing institutional strengthening to participants thus improving their basic business skills while at the same time increasing their productivity and competitiveness.  Over twenty five participants representing both the private and public sector attended this module.

pronet-training-2Master Trainer, Mr.  Donald Demeritte, from The Bahamas, informed participants of the importance of proper record keeping within their businesses and the need to appreciate and not trivialise the role of accountants and good accounting procedures.  Mr. Demeritte took participants through the critical topics and aspects of Cost and Financial Management such as Costing and Pricing, Break even analysis, cash flow planning and financial analysis.

The third and final workshop for this year will be Export Marketing and is scheduled for November 11th-13th, 2014 at the conference room of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport, Union, Castries.
