Market Study Tour: Germany, France, Spain

The Economic Partnership Agreements (EPA) are a scheme to create a free trade area (FTA) between the European Union and the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP).

Saint Lucia will be participating in the The EPA study tour, which will be held from June 8th-17th. Delegates will be visiting Germany, France and Spain to obtain information on the opportunities and challenges the Saint Lucian exporter would be exposed to should they attempt to penetrate these markets. They will visit various companies as well as government agencies and a legal firm to gain a holistic view of the requirements of the said markets.

The key objectives of this study tour include:

  • To assist Saint Lucia’s trade promotion and Business Support Organisations (TPOs/BSOs) with the development of market penetration and capacity building plans for selected enterprises
  • To build the capacity of the TPOs/BSOs to deliver support services, and relevant to increasing Saint Lucia’s export of goods and services.
  • To gain information from selected EU markets, namely France, Germany and Spain
