Inside Out Ltd. Supports Local Furniture Makers
The owners of Inside Out have collaborated with TEPA and as part of their company’s Corporate Social Responsibility to engage the local market for furniture.
The community of Choiseul is well known for its peculiar artistic brand of furniture, derived from local plants and local white cedar. Inside Out, a well known high-end furniture retailer has decided to take a bold step and showcase an authentic St Lucian line of furniture alongside international designers.
Three local furniture designers were visited and various pieces are currently being considered for this authentic line. Some local mat vendors were also visited and the Inside Out Team has requested a sample of a smaller version of the mat for retail consideration.
We applaud the efforts of the management of Inside Out in assisting with the development of our small producers. The success of this collaboration will strengthen our local supply chain, which is an integral component in the process of enhancing export competitiveness and increasing overall output.
TEPA is endeavouring to get other established business on board as we strive to strengthen our export market by perfecting what we offer domestically.
