DIGITAL MARKETING SYMPOSIUM ’20

Export Saint Lucia is embarking on a Digital Marketing Symposium to enlighten exporters on digital and online media best practices and also to create an opportunity for exporters to bring their efforts up to international standards. This symposium will bring together in one virtual room digital media/marketing professionals and exporters. These professionals will make presentations on best practices and the latest e-commerce tools and gadgets required for impactful and meaningful digital presence. The Symposium will be hosted on Tuesday, May 26, from 10:30 a.m. It will feature four presenters who will speak on:

  1. E-Commerce Legislation in Saint Lucia
  2. Web Design best Practices
  3. E-Commerce tools – What’s good and what’s not
  4. E-Commerce Success and Maximising online sales

Dr. Lyndell St. Ville

Dr. Lyndell St. Ville has been mobilizing ICT to improve and transform service delivery throughout his career.  He has designed, developed, and strengthened systems in the public and private sectors.

His work has led to improvements in the resilience and reliability of tools used by organisations worldwide including Trent University and The Ontario Court of Justice, The U.K. National Health Service, and The Guyana Ministry of Public Security.  His awareness of business processes, ICT, and service delivery helped transform the BookKingdom Book Club, Saint Lucia Distillers, and other local  organisations. He consulted with the International Trade Center in developing a national export strategy for Saint Lucia.

He established the technology firm Datashore to serve the growing need for skilled ICT consulting, advisory and development services to help businesses transition to more blended service delivery.

He is a CaribDE and a member of the IEEE, the BCS, and SLICTA.

 


Leslie Collymore

Leslie Collymore is the founder of Advanced Intellectual Methods, (A.I.M.) and its subsidiary Digital Kitchen; a management consultancy specializing in Strategic Marketing, Digital Media and Innovation and the President of the St. Lucia Basketball Federation. Over the past fourteen years, an established reputation as a results-driven marketing executive and management consultant with a sound technical background, aptitude for emerging technology and acute understanding of multi-channel communications.

Simultaneously, Leslie has had a solid and progressive sports administrative career as President of the St. Lucia Basketball Federation; marked by demonstrated ability to work with, motive and mange cross functional stakeholders across sectors – while achieving the Federation’s goals with surgical execution. Leslie is an avid reader, is always wiling to make his passion his purpose and is guided by the mantra, “Do good and be good.”

 


Danny Moonie

Danny Moonie is the Senior Technical Officer at Export Saint Lucia. His current duties revolve around the Agency’s overall brand image and marketing functions. His duties include development and management of Export Saint Lucia’s Websites, supervision of Export Saint Lucia’s Public Relations functions, including the Agency’s Social Media platforms, designing marketing and promotional material for Trade Shows and related events and photography. He spearheaded the rebranding of Export Saint Lucia with Saint Lucia’s new country brand. In recent years, he worked alongside the International Trade Centre’s marketing team to develop the Taste of Saint Lucia export brand, which was launched in the UK in 2018. In 2019, Export Saint Lucia was tasked as the lead agency to work alongside the Ministry of Agriculture to brand Saint Lucian bananas and had been leading the team on this initiative.

Before working with Export Saint Lucia, Danny joined the Marketing and Promotion team at Brookhaven College, one of the seven colleges in the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) in Texas, to implement to the newly developed brand, which was developed for the District and to work on marketing initiatives for Brookhaven’s Campus.
