From Engagement to Export: Tolyn Manufacturers Lands Major Barbados Shipment Following Export Saint Lucia’s November 2025 Trade Mission

Castries, Saint Lucia – March 25, 2026 — Export Saint Lucia is proud to announce the successful shipment of a full, 20-foot container of tissue and toilet paper products by Tolyn Manufacturers Ltd. to Barbados, marking the agency’s largest export for the year to date demonstrating tangible returns from its November 2025 Trade Mission.

This latest achievement builds on the momentum of a previous shipment completed just months prior and represents a significant step forward in deepening Saint Lucia’s commercial presence within the Barbadian market. It also highlights the growing demand for high-quality, locally manufactured goods across the region and the effectiveness of targeted trade engagement in converting opportunity into tangible export outcomes.

The Barbados trade mission formed part of Export Saint Lucia’s broader strategy to identify and penetrate emerging, cost-effective markets within the Caribbean. Through direct buyer engagement, market intelligence gathering, and strategic networking, the mission created a platform for Saint Lucian manufacturers to establish meaningful business relationships and secure new distribution channels. These efforts have proven instrumental in supporting Tolyn Manufacturers Ltd. in successfully executing and scaling its export operations within the market.

Chief Executive Officer of Export Saint Lucia, Sunita Daniel, emphasized that this shipment reflects continued momentum and the strengthening of Saint Lucian exports within regional markets:

“This export reflects the strength of focused market engagement and the importance of building on every opportunity created through our trade missions. The ability of a single manufacturer to now fulfill a full container order demonstrates both growth and increasing market confidence in Saint Lucian products. Our role is to ensure these opportunities continue to translate into repeat business, expanded capacity, and long-term market presence.”

The Agency also leveraged its presence at CHIEF 2025, a major player in Barbados’ hospitality and business landscape, to expand networks and identify opportunities that complement ongoing trade mission outcomes. Engaging with key industry leaders at CHIEF further positioned Saint Lucian exporters to explore new avenues within the Barbadian market.

Beyond manufacturing, Export Saint Lucia continues to support cross-sector export development through strategic engagements in agriculture. The agency’s recent participation in Agrofest, alongside the Honourable Lisa Jawahir, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Rural Development, provided a valuable platform to connect with regional stakeholders, explore opportunities for agro-processing and fresh produce, and strengthen visibility for Saint Lucian agricultural products.

These engagements signal growing potential within the sector, with Export Saint Lucia anticipating tangible outcomes and new market opportunities in the coming quarters.

As Export Saint Lucia continues to deepen its regional footprint, this latest shipment reinforces the agency’s ongoing mandate to drive export development, strengthen market access, and position Saint Lucian manufacturers for long-term competitiveness on the regional and international stage.
