Compete Caribbean Hosts Cluster Training Workshop
Compete Caribbean is a multi-donor facility whose objective is to support the Caribbean region in increasing productivity and Caribbean firms’ contribution to economic growth, by providing technical assistance for business climate reforms, clustering initiatives, and stimulating innovation in the Caribbean region. In May 2019, Compete Caribbean with Export Saint Lucia hosted a cluster training workshop at Bay Gardens Hotel.
Export Saint Lucia Facilitates Export of Sea Moss to the US
Emanating from Export Saint Lucia’s recent mission to the United States, it was observed that growing consumer trends around healthy eating presented an opportunity to export dried sea moss from Saint Lucia. Through the guidance of Export Saint Lucia, the Praslin Sea moss Association has capitalized on the opportunity and on Saturday, May 18, shipped their first batch to the United States! Over 140 farmers belonging to the Association worked expeditiously to facilitate the shipment.
